A little too tactical. A lot more human.
Military culture, workplace humor and the awkward rituals of belonging.
What we are
Just Boot Things is an independent publication creating original humor and commentary about military culture: the gear, social rituals, catchphrases and everyday absurdities people recognize from service life. The jokes are aimed at behavior, not at service itself.
What we are not
We are not Reddit, a military service, a branch-affiliated news outlet or an official support resource. We do not copy subreddit posts or imply that community members have endorsed our work.
Our approach
We distinguish original satire from reported experiences. Reader submissions would require documented permission, editorial review, and protections for third-party privacy and operational information. No fabricated testimonials or attributed quotes.
Our ambition
Grow a memorable independent culture publication, then turn the strongest original themes into an illustrated essay collection with its own rights and durable audience.
